With the assistance of multiple Citrix solutions, Aer Lingus said it introduced a highly secure, industry-compliant enterprise mobility solution, providing an unprecedented, consumer-like customer experience, while empowering employees to achieve greater productivity through a more flexible approach to work. One of the most notable achievements is the paperless cockpit which has helped to reduce fuel costs and improve on-time performance. Pilots can now access the most up-to-date information via an iPad which means they no longer have to carry the traditional bulky flight manuals on board an aircraft.

Citrix is leading the transition to software-defining the workplace, uniting virtualization, mobility management, networking and SaaS solutions to enable new ways for businesses and people to work better. Geir Ramleth, Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President and General Manager, Workspace Services Citrix, commented: "The need for mobile access to apps and data anytime, from anywhere is changing the way business and IT leaders approach the delivery of information to their workforce, partners and customers. We have always had our customers' challenges in mind when developing products, and we have had the culture to enable innovation as a part of the business cycle. The strategic use of Citrix solutions by John Holland is a perfect example of how Citrix is working with customers to mobility-transform business."

The Citrix Innovation Award for Partners program was developed to inspire Citrix partners, prospects and their customers to think differently about IT: as a key strategic component to enable business and organizational success, grow market share or compete beyond the industry norm.

Derek Monahan, added: "The vision for Aer Lingus is connecting Ireland to the world and we share the company's vision in IT, connecting our islands of technology. Each division across the airline now operates with greater efficiency using Citrix solutions whether it be via remote access or securing devices and we will continue to drive innovation to improve efficiency within our business year on year."

Aer Lingus received the Citrix Innovation Award at Citrix SynergyTM 2015, the enterprise mobility conference which is currently underway in Orlando, Florida.
