Job Title: DevOps Sales Associate

 

Do you want to work for a cutting edge DevOps software company in Open source Management that's only a few years out of the gate but is already leading & creating a large market and selling globally direct and to resellers? So are you ready to be on the ground floor of a technology explosion that is reshaping the world of computing?

 

The Position:

This role will work in sales and marketing, generating and qualifying leads via phone and email, setting appointments, and providing sales support to the rest of the team. You will be expected to process & manage a lead pipeline in SalesForce, report on call activity and stay thoroughly informed on all Puppet labs products, competitive offerings and the infrastructure DevOps automation industry in general.

 

Role:

  • Learn company messaging and be confident in conveying the value proposition and be able to react to objections, competitive questions and other FAQ's. Understand our value proposition and be able to present internally and externally.
  • Meet or exceed opportunity/appointment quota through phone and email-based prospecting, as well as lead qualification from both outbound campaigns and inbound lead inquiries.
  • Assist with building attendance around a variety of events and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to develop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attack, including call scripts, audience segmentation and approach.
  • Qualify interested candidates and arrange sales appointments.
  • Maintain and improve upon CRM data within Salesforce.com.
  • Proactively manage your schedule, leads pipeline and campaigns in order to meet milestones and quarterly objectives.
  • Collaborate successfully with all areas of the organisation to optimise team productivity


Essential Skills:

  • 1 year experience in sales or other sales & customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct extensive cold calls and email campaigns and navigate organisation charts.
  • Team player with solid telephone presentation skills.
  • Powerful communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Comfort with using sales tools, including Salesforce.com, and with analysing sales data.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and aggressive emerging market.
